OVERVIEW
This course will combine lecture with a text book written by Robert Freeman to facilitate the student’s understanding of the most important new database administrator features for Oracle 11g. This class will cover both Release One and Release Two. The class includes several hands-on labs designed to reinforce the learning process by allowing students to experience and test these features (some labs might be left for the student to do after class and reviewed the following day).

INTENDED AUDIENCE
This course is designed for people who will be managing and maintaining corporate databases using Oracle 11G. This is targeted primarily for database administrators.
PREREQUISITE
Experience with SQL and/or training in SQL as well as PL/SQL is required for this class. Oracle 9i or 10g DBA class or equivalent work experience is recommended.

This course includes a combination of lecture, discussion and numerous computer lab exercises. Each participant will receive a copy of Oracle Database 11g New Features book by Robert Freeman.
