OR440 Oracle 10g OBIEE Reports and Dashboards

OVERVIEW

This course provides step-by-step instructions for creating ad-hoc queries in Oracle 10g Business Intelligence Answers and incorporating them into Interactive Dashboards. You will learn to build a simple Oracle BI Interactive Dashboard starting with basic requests created in Answers, then add more complexity. Topics include  pivot tables, charts, gauges, prompts, embedded content, navigation links, and Oracle BI Publisher reports in the dashboards. Oracle BI Delivers will be used to send real-time, personalized alerts to Interactive Dashboards. 

DURATION: 2 DAYS

In addition to building Interactive Dashboards, you will learn to configure, maintain and customize the user interface using cascading style sheets, dashboard styles, and building reports based on Answers requests as well as Oracle BI subject areas using Oracle BI Publisher, and use Oracle BI for Microsoft Office to integrate Oracle BI data and views in Microsoft Office presentations and spreadsheets

• Perform administrative tasks related to the development and configuration of Interactive Dashboards
• Configure, schedule and deliver personalized alerts to Interactive Dashboards using Oracle Business Intelligence Delivers
• Employ recommended design principles and best practices

INTENDED AUDIENCE

This course is designed for people who will be retrieving and analyzing data using Oracle Reporting and Dashboards using Oracle BI Enterprise Edition. This includes Business Intelligence Developer, Business Analysts, Technical Consultant, End Users and Application Developers.

PREREQUISITES

Introduction to Relational and Dimensional Databases, basic understanding of  Business Intelligence and SQL as well as working knowledge of the editor (Wordpad,  Notepad, or VI Edit) is required to perform the lab exercises.

This course includes a combination of lecture, discussion and numerous computer workshops.  Students will receive an extensive course manual covering topics covered in this  class.
