Mainframe Training

As a Mainframe Programmer you will perform all or part of the software development life cycle. Develop and supports applications, modify/enhances applications to support changing business/user needs and develops software enhancements to packaged software products. Expertise with Cobol, Cobol II, MVS, CICS, JCL and other mainframe tools and utilities in one of a variety of mainframe platforms such as IBM OS390 or Unisys A series.

Your main tasks include:

  • Participate in the software development life cycle which includes designing, coding and testing the software needed to support your company's software systems.
  • manage these databases and provide the information needed by the business community.
  • Develop software to select data for updating, adding, or deleting records and maintaining databases
  • Test and trouble shoot the software developed to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
