As business intelligence analyst, you will be working with databases and data warehouses and specifically extracting data from these warehouses and presenting it in user friendly ways for others to view and make good business decisions. Some popular software that Oracle uses is Oracle Business Intelligence Suite (OBIEE) and Discoverer.
Your main tasks include:
- Provide application analysis and data modeling design to collect data recorded in the company’s centralized data warehouse.
- Standardize data collection and develop methods for database design and reporting.
- Provide query and reporting analysis tools to access this data.
- Extract data from these warehouses using these tools and present them in user friendly ways for other viewers.
- Work with other business units and technical staff to merge data from other business source systems.
